What I’ve Learned Over the Past Two Days

By C.H. Finn

I’ve been looking at my blog stats again and here is what I’ve found out. Y’all really don’t care all that much what I’m up to on a day in, day out basis. This is actually good news since I wasn’t all that hyped about blogging on matters personal. I have also discovered my music site is far more popular than this site, but if you look at the numbers on the surface every time I blog on this site it drives traffic to the music site. Kind of weird.

Apparently Joe Larkins is correct, links make all the difference in the cyber world when it comes to driving traffic. There are very few links on here. That’s going to change.

People are a bit more compassionate than I would have thought. Thank you to everyone who left messages, comments, tweets, and e-mails.

Oh yeah, for those of you who didn’t know I occasionally “tweet” on twitter.com. My name on there is “curdreaux”. It’s a long story. You can find me at http://twitter.com/curdreaux if you’re interested.

For those of you with a further interest in this sites stats here are some of them:

  • Most popular posts for the past thirty days in descending order are: College Football Preview, Part IMemphis Remains the Center Of the Univer, and So Wrong On So Many Levels.
  • The most popular search engine terms used to find this blog are: “curtis finn” memphis, southwestern at memphis, and college football cheers. College football cheerleaders have always had a thing for me. What can I say? Some of the more interesting search terms used to find this blog include: potheads in hermitage tn, wmc woman nude putt putt, this is so wrong on so many levels origi, and im so wrong on so many levels.
  • The top referring sites for this blog are: my music blog (chfinn.wordpress.com), my facebook page, wordpress.com (thanks guys), and joe larkins blog (thanks, Joe!).
So what does all of this mean in terms of the grand social experiment of blogging? Apparently I have found at least one subject that doesn’t work from a blog standpoint. I’ll try another one on the next post.
